Points earned as per Pro Am system in IHRA rulebook with the addition of qualifying points as below:

1st - 16 9th - 8
2nd - 15 10th - 7
3rd - 14 11th - 6
4th - 13 12th - 5
5th - 12 13th - 4
6th - 11 14th - 3
7th - 10 15th - 2
8th - 9 16th -1
Hoosier Tire Canada $50 certificate for #1 qualifier at each race.
Championship standings determined based on
best 3 out of 5 Canadian events
plus best 3 out of 4 USA events...
for a total of best 6 of 9 events.
Guaranteed Year End Points Payouts
1st - $1000
2nd - $500
3rd - $300
4th - $150
5th - $50
In addition to the cash, each of the top 5 racers at the end of the season will receive custom embroidered leather jacket.
Overall points champion will also receive:
- Gold card for free event entry to all 2009 TNT 10.90 races
- Drum of Torco Race Fuels Mach 112 (if they qualified thru Caruso Racing)
2008 Series Rules
- All rules per Hot Rod in the IHRA Rulebook apply except:
-No weight minimum -Open bodied cars welcome only if LH drive
- Round money $25 for EVERY ROUND WIN. Paid beginning with round 2 loser until 2 cars left. Then, winner gets 2/3 of balance and runner-up gets 1/3. (Some events offer guaranteed payout to winner. In this case, RU would receive the same 1/3 as if no minimum for winner)
- Payouts made at Performance Improvements trailer only after all eliminations are completed
- Racer entry fee is $50 to be paid at Performance Improvements trailer prior to first qualifying run (You must pay spectator entry at track gate – in addition to $50 TNT entry)
- $25 points registration fee (once annually)
- All participants must be registered for points series to race
- Series decal MUST be displayed on both sides of racecar for both yearend payouts and for event race $500 minimum to be paid
- Ladder beginning with first round - determined based on qualifying
- Lane choice goes to better qualifier
- Ladder beginning with first round - determined based on qualifying – In order to be placed on the ladder, you must make a run in at least one qualifying session
- Courtesy stage rule in effect (Deep staging not permitted)
- All run field
- .500 heads-up pro tree
- Tech inspection to be completed by track prior to qualifying runs
- In the case of a bye run, vehicle must stage under its own power
- If minimum of one round is complete, the race is considered complete and payouts will be made. If a round is incomplete (rainout, etc), then winnings revert to previous round
- If all rounds of qualifying are complete and event is cancelled for any reason (rain, etc), qualifying points & prizes are awarded as if event was complete.
- For points calculations – if an event is not contested (rain, etc), points will be best 2 out of 3 instead of 3 out of 4, etc
- Any disputes are left to the discretion of TNT officials
$50 entry (plus spectator fee paid upon entry to track)
